Mixing lines

The Ambity Line™ controller with an additional external I/O module fully satisfies the needs related to the control of complete technological systems of dosing and mixing installations. The solution will handle a number of measurement values ​​and signals, from unloading stations used in the operation, through tanks, main raw material dosing systems, additives or liquid raw material dosing stations, conveyors, to mixing processes and raw material weighing systems.

The example solution (according to the attached diagram) uses the CPU module AL-CPU-M.2-A.14i - built-in 4 configurable AI/DI channels (current, voltage or digital) and 4 dedicated DO channels | input ranges: 0-20mA, 0-10V, 0-24V, output range: OC 100mA, extended with an external I/O module AL-IO-A.38 - additional 12 dedicated DO channels.

The set in the presented application supports:

  • Number of analog inputs for measurements: 6 (temperature 1, weight, level in tank 1-2-3-4)
  • Number of analog inputs used for control: 2 (MLBS* = recipe selector 1/16, MLBI* = control: start, stop, empty mixer, clean)
  • Number of binary inputs used for control: 0
  • Number of analog outputs used for actuators: 11 (main mixer, ingredient mixer, V1+, V1-, V2, V3, pump 1-2-3-4-5)

* In the scheme, in order to minimize the demand for digital inputs, their aggregation using analog channels was used (more about MLBI> and MLBS>). This allows the controller to handle more input control signals without having to physically add additional digital modules.
